LIONS ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF SLU CB ALLI KLUG!

(Cottleville, Missouri)  The St. Louis Lions WPSL is excited to announce the signing of Nerinx Hall Alum and St. Louis University Center Back, Alli Klug, to our 2018 Roster.

Last season Klug picked up several honors for her efforts on the pitch with the Billikens.  She was chosen to the NCAA Division I women’s soccer All-America third team by the United Soccer Coaches, named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region first team, Atlantic 10 first-team All-Conference, and was the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Klug’s performance along the back line helped lift Saint Louis to the top of the A-10 in goals against average (0.49) and shutouts (13). The Billikens were 10th in the nation in both categories. Her 1,716 minutes ranked second among Billiken field players.  She also added 5 goals for 10 points on the season.

As a freshman, Klug played in all 20 games while starting in 6.  She ranked third among Billiken freshman field players in minutes played with 925.

Prior to SLU, as a senior, Klug was a second-team All-Metro selection and was named to the TeamSnap spring state All-Star team by TopDrawerSoccer.com.  Klug played on a St. Louis Scott Gallagher team that finished second in 2015 and seventh in 2014 in the ECNL North American Cup League playoffs.
