(Cottleville, Missouri) The St. Louis Lions WPSL is excited to announce the signing of former St. Dominic Alum and Quincy University Forward, Mackenzie Rief, to our 2018 Roster.

Mackenzie played her high school soccer at St. Dominic where she helped the Crusaders to back-to-back Missouri state championships.  Rief was named first team all-state, first team all-metro, and the Class 2 All-St. Louis Offensive Player of the Year as a junior.  She led the Crusaders with 27 goals and three assists on their way to a No. 1 national ranking. She played club soccer with St. Louis Scott Gallagher, which won three straight USYSA Missouri State Cup titles.

At Quincy Rief was named Scholar 1st Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches and had previously been named a 2nd Team All-American for her outstanding senior season, in which she scored 10 goals and added three assists. The Scholar All-American recognizes student-athletes who excel both in the classroom as well as on the soccer field.

Rief was named GLVC Offensive Player of the Year while leading the GLVC in nearly every offensive category during the 2017 season. She ranked third in the country in game-winning goals with eight. She finished her career with 19 goals, 10 this season.

Rief has also been named to a pair of all-region teams in her career and was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District performer for her work in the classroom.
