ST. LOUIS – For a second consecutive season, Saint Louis University junior defender Alli Klug has been selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-America team. Klug garnered a second-team nod after earning third-team plaudits a year ago.

Klug is the first Saint Louis women’s soccer student-athlete to collect United Soccer Coaches (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-America accolades twice. Her second-team selection matches the highest All-America level achieved by a Billiken (Meghann Burke, 2002).

Earlier this week, Klug landed on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region first team for a second consecutive season, becoming only the second Billiken (Courtney Hulcer, 2005, 2006) to earn two first-team nods. She was the Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-Conference choice for a second straight season, and she was selected to the A-10 Championship All-Tournament team.
